Imported for John George Smith, London, Circa 1927
Back of base near edge stamped with maker's marks; side of base stamped with importer, duty, standard and date marks.

Property from a Private Collection

As a courtesy, condition reports for any lot are available from Weschler's prior to the sale, upon request. Such a condition report should in no instance replace first hand inspections by a prospective buyer or his/her agent. Any description of a lot’s dimensions and weights is approximate. Descriptions we make about lots may not describe all faults or restorations.

All property is sold "As Is" in accordance with the terms set forth in paragraph 1C of Conditions of Sale.

Neither Weschler's nor the Consignor makes any express or implied warranty or representation as to the condition of any lot offered for sale, and no statement made at any time, whether oral or written, shall constitute such a warranty or representation.

Weights given for stones we offer for sale are based solely on measurements and known gemological formula; they are approximate, not exact. Weight may differ once a stone is removed from its setting. You are advised to verify weight estimates prior to bidding at auction.

While we do our best to protect the framing on the artwork, we will not be responsible for damage, regardless of cause.

Weschler's will not remove an item out of its frame for shipping purposes once the lot has been sold. It is the purchaser's responsibility to find a third-party shipper who specializes in fine art handling for these cases.
