German WWI Butcher Bayonet

Broad, single edged steel blade shows honest oxidation and a widening tip, stamped on the ricasso by P.D. Luneschloss of Solingen and dated 1916 on the spine. Grooved wooden hilt scales remain solid with standard field wear, fitted with a steel crossguard and integrated flash guard. Housed in a matching all steel scabbard exhibiting a dark patina. Full length 20.5 inches, blade length 14.5 inches.
