German WWII-Era Ring with Enameled Swastika Motif

[ translate ]

A cast metal ring, believed to be a white metal alloy, with a raised swastika motif to the face inlaid with red enamel infill. The shoulders of the band carry a textured, hatched border pattern flanking the central design, with faint impressed marks visible near the shank. The interior of the band shows the enamel-filled recesses continuing around the underside of the mount.

Rings bearing the swastika motif in red enamel were produced and worn during the Third Reich era, typically as patriotic or political jewelry signalling allegiance to National Socialism rather than as an official military or Party award. Such pieces were commercially manufactured for civilian purchase and worn by NSDAP members and sympathizers, distinct from formally issued Party insignia like membership badges. The swastika itself, adopted by Adolf Hitler and the NSDAP as their central emblem from the 1920s, became the pervasive symbol of the regime and its ideology until 1945.
