German WWII Luftwaffe Pilot Badge Two Piece Construction

Die struck two piece zinc alloy badge exhibiting a darkened, vaulted eagle riveted to an oval wreath of mixed oak and laurel leaves. Dark grey patination remains strong on the central eagle with minor highlight wear. Silver washed wreath shows honest aging and light rubbing to high points. Reverse displays intact dual dome rivets, a functional top mounted barrel hinge, straight vertical pin and a soldered wire catch.
