Description
German hunting saber with knife, last half of the 18th century. A complex example with raised brass fastenings in the Rococo style, the pommel is a fully formed deer's hoof, the guard is tightly twisted. A wide, slightly curved blade with one fuller on each side. In a leather sheath with brass fastenings adjacent to the hilt. Steel knife with brass handle decorated with engraving. First half of the 19th century. A wonderful item collecting.
