***FREE SHIPPING! The Union Militare Roma brand represents the Reformed Royal Italian Army, which dates back to 1861 and continued until 1946, when they abolished the monarchy. This gives us a good indication of the year of manufacture this sword. The handle is made of wood with knots and coats of arms colours. The blade by F. Horster- Solingen was magnificently engraved with great finesse. Probably a cavalry sabre and as the MAP has kindly given us the last date of the F Horster of 1875, we can deduce that this was manufactured between 1861 and 1875. The blade is a bit rusty but the engraving is beautiful This is not a sword that we often see. It is complete.
