(build number 00021 from 2005) The Military chair by Gerrit Rietveld is part of the Military furniture series that Rietveld designed in 1923 for the Catholic Military Home in Utrecht. In this series, he uses bolts and nuts instead of wooden dowels for the wood connections for the first time. The military furniture is therefore very sturdy. The furniture, characterised by the use of square sleepers, is made in white and black, with the ends painted in bright white. The chair can be picked up in Utrecht or Bussum.
