A large portrait of a lady, it is unknown who this lady is, (Kende has portraited a number of celebrities such as Errol FLynn, Lucy Ball and Clara Bow. Unfortunately I was not able to find out who the creator is) . It is signed and dated 1922 in the bottom left. On the internet you can find a lot of information about this artist. Also on Instagram this painter has a lot of fans. The frame is 171 cm x 99. 5 cm. The canvas is stretched on a frame and measures 153 cm x 81 cm. It is a large work. The painting has some small paint damage (a dent) and it shows some ribs because the stretcher frame is not stretched properly, over the course of time it may need some work, see photos. Due to its size, weight and fragility, the painting can be picked up in Waardenburg or can be delivered by courier at a cost. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Geza Kende born in Budapest, Hungary on January 5, 1889, Kende studied at the National Academy of Art in Budapest, also in Italy and France. He settled in Los Angeles in 1932 and maintained a studio-home at 1123 El Centro Avenue. He died there on 2 September 1952.
