Ghigos - Ideas Bit-Factory - Mirror - Tavolata d'Architettura: lo specchio antico di Ghigos: Dai diamanti non nasce niente

[ translate ]

A reinterpretation of the antique mirror made using modern laser cutting and engraving technology. The frame is made of Plexiglass and the mirror of mirror-polished Plexiglass. This item is part of the collection “Milan the New Energetic Landscape” by False Mirror Office, Ghigos, Gruppo Torto, UNO8A+caarpa e W. A. R. These are designers involved in an ironic dialogue on the future of cities referring to the 1972 exhibition at the MOMA in New York, told in a small domestic interior of tablecloth, plates, antique mirrors and puddings, on an "architectural table" of irreverent radical flavour. Everything is manufactured in Digital Fabrication. The collection was exhibited during the Milan Design Week 2019, inauguration and opening by “La Repubblica del Design” (www. repubblicadeldesign. it) . Ghigos uses biomass energy as a means for the integration/overlap between the agricultural world and the city and makes it the main message engraved on the mirror. Please note: This piece is currently on display/exhibition. After the payment has cleared, it will take 10/15 days for dismantling the exhibition + creating decorative and protective packaging in Boolean subtraction nesting + shipping.
