Giancarlo Piretti - Dining table, Dinner chair (9) - Contemporary

A rarely offered table with 8 chairs by the famous Italian designer Giancarlo Piretti. Piretti designed, among other things, the Plia chairs and the Plana table for Castelli. This set consists of 8 chairs and a folding table. In 1988 Piretti exhibited at Neocon in Chicago, the PIRETTI COLLECTION, a series of chairs marketed by various licensees. One of these is the German brand Hülsta, the manufacturer of these chairs, see photo label. The table is not marked. It has style characteristics of the Memphis Milano movement, a well-known phenomenon in the 1980s. The table can be adjusted to 2 different widths using an ingenious mechanism.
