Of the few that came onto the market in Europe, Thomann managed to secure some of the specimens. This elegant guitar is certainly a dream for many collectors and fans. I'd rather have an active guitarist, even a beginner, play with it than have this lovely axe dusted on a wall hook. You just have to play that part. As usual for Les Paul, the guitar was made only with the most selected parts. Let it melt on your tongue: An A-grade mahogany body with AAA-grade maple top and glued mahogany with rosewood handle board and slender 60s neck profile. The elegant wood finish shimmers through a high-quality, thin nitro-finish in Amber with back in Cherry. The whole thing gives the guitar the look of a vintage Les Paul. Two Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro Slash Humbucker were used as pickups. These pickups are designed to Slash's specifications and certainly provide great sound. Visual highlights include a signature and artwork by the artist on the head plate, as well as vintage green style mechanics and gold speed knobs. The included hard shell suitcase was also finished with Slash's artwork and signature. Anyone who comes into the practice room or onto the stage with this piece is sure to attract a few looks.
