Gillet Herstal 500 cc Bol d'Or Customer Competition Sold to Milanese dealer "Autorimessa" on 30/04/1934 This kind of specimens were racing bikes made for private customers, called "gentlemen drivers", to make them race in various racing tracks. Very rare and valuable collector’s motorcycle. Year: 1934. Only 2 specimens are still existing today! A bit of history provided by Gillet Herstal Club, Belgium. Built to celebrate Gillet Herstal's victory in the Bol d'Or competition, held on various French circuits since 1922. As mentioned by the golden list of the competition, Gillet Herstal won the race in 1928/1929 and in 1936. These specimens were built as faithful replicas of those that won on the circuit.
