Gillette Tires Sign

Made in U.S.A. 1975. Single-sided tin (SST). This later die-cut Gillette Tires sign features the companies iconic "A Bear For Wear" slogan. The slogan was first used around 1918/1919 when the Gillette Safety Tire Company rebranded to the Gillette Tire Company. Marked, A-M, Inc., Lynchburg, Va. 5-75" lower edge. 30" x 47.5". Excellent colour and gloss. Heavy c-shaped crease at the upper right corner. Pebble-sized reverse indentations with paint wear-through.
