American, 19th/20th century, on elongated rectangular base with bracket feet, metal scrollwork and mask mounts, surmounted by figure of Italian goldsmith and sculptor Benvenuto Cellini, scrollwork and floral decoration, 5-1/2 inch dial marked "Made by the NewHaven Clock Co. New Haven Conn. U.S.A.", manufactured as number 571 and one of a series, eight day movement with half hour strike, with winder key, 15-1/2 x 20 x 6-5/8 in. - Provenance: Proceeds to Benefit Asheville Symphony Guild Music in the Schools Program
