Unique piece made by Gino Marotta in 1964. Shell-shaped methacrylate table. Combining the visual arts with industrial design, Marotta, collaborating with numerous companies in the field of design, creates many sculptures referring to industrial procedures for mass production. The vocation to use unpublished materials has turned since the '60s to methacrylate with which he creates magnificent works of art referring to the natural landscape. The same subjects, enlarged and associated, are transformed into an environment giving life to artificial scenarios in methacrylate. 'Through the specifics of new technologies - explains Marotta - I tried to redo the inventory of the world. My nature, my animals, my artificial plants are the mythopoeic paraphernalia of the world.
