The vocation to use unpublished materials has turned since the '60s to methacrylate with which he creates magnificent works of art referring to the natural landscape. The same subjects, enlarged and associated, are transformed into an environment giving life to artificial scenarios in methacrylate. 'Through the specifics of new technologies - explains Marotta - I tried to redo the inventory of the world. My nature, my animals, my artificial plants are the mythopoeic paraphernalia of the world. I made a simulacrum of memory, the simulacrum of something that will be gone in a little while. '
