Gio Mondelli is a contemporary Italian artist. His pictorial research has mainly focused on the discovery of new techniques, styles and trends. After an academic career, his works already capture the essence of Symbolist and Surrealist painting. For a short time he painted more classical and hyper-realistic pieces, but was not satisfied until he became an expressionist. Professional art critics appreciate his paintings for having a truly unique perspective on the landscape.

Gio Mondelli was born in 1953, in Italy, where he graduated from the LABA Free Academy of Fine Arts. His works can be found in private collections in Belgium, Germany, France and the United States.
