Micromosaic inlaid with dark stones depicting the Doves of Pliny. The popular subject refers to a Roman copy, which was rediscovered in 1737 in a floor mosaic in the Hadrian’s Villa in Tivoli and is today held at the Capitoline Museums in Rome (Sala delle Colombe, inv. no. MC0402).
