Condition Report:
The canvas is lined. Inspection under UV light reveals a milky and uneven varnish through which UV light cannot fully penetrate, but does reveal a few small spots of retouching to the extreme edges and some spots towards the lower corners. There is a spot of retouching corresponding to a small indentation above the arches in the building to the right of the composition. There is some light frame abrasion with associated minor pigment losses to the extreme edges and a couple of tiny indents to the upper corners. There are fine lines of craquelure, most predominantly in the upper part of the composition. There are pinprick holes to the canvas that appear inherent to the weave. This work is in overall good condition.
