Rare original engraving by Giovanni Battista Piranesi from the "Vedute di Roma" series dated 1775.
Dimensions (plate) : 48 x 71 cm, with margins of approximately 2 cm.
Original example, with clearly visible copper plate rebate, in the edition of the Camerale di Roma engraving numbered "686" at the top right. Printed on unlaid intaglio paper.
In good condition after the restoration of gaps and marginal tears (see photos) ; of the restored gaps only one affected the image (bottom left) .
Excellent chiaroscuro and contrasts.
