Giovanni Stradone (1911-1981) in the first phase of his artistic career oriented himself towards the so-called "Roman School", appearing among the protagonists of early twentieth-century painting. Subsequently he is the greatest exponent of a "tonal and metaphysical neo-expressionism" as declared by Giorgio de Chirico in 1964, who defines his art: "G. Stradone's expressionism is a genuine projection of a tormented feeling of the human soul that creates, almost breathlessly, the silence and the solitude, to react to the dissolution of the times. »
