Italian patriot and soldier (1807–1882) best known for leading the attack of the ‘Red Shirts’ on Sicily in 1860. ALS in Italian, signed “G. Garibaldi,” one page, 8.75" x 11", May 21, 1872. Short five-line untranslated letter to a Mr. Smith also with another inscription to Mr. Smith in reference to a publication he had sent. In very good condition, tastefully framed and matted to a size of 22"x18".
