Giuseppe Palanti (Milan, July 30, 1881 - Milan, April 23, 1946) was an Italian painter, publicist, illustrator, set designer, figurine designer and teacher. Among the themes dear to him is the nature around Milano Marittima and in particular the port, the ships and the pine forest. In this work - materic and with a strong chromatic impact - which highlights the artist's house inside the pine forest of Milano Marittima, Palanti expresses all his skills as a landscape artist. Not postcard-like but spontanoues and, if possible, ‘di macchia’, which perfectly renders a sunset in the clouds. The panel only is 537x440. Signature on bottom right, without restorations, with coeval frame.
