[ translate ]

Giuseppe Pessina (Milan, 1893 – therein, 1967)
Mountain landscape
Oil on canvas, signed, 70 x 100 cm
With frame, 94 x 123 cm

Born on 16 December, Pessina was Milanese by birth and education, famous for his evocative views of the Lombard Alps and the territories of the Bergamo valleys. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, following the courses of the portraitist Antonio Ambrogio Alciati, similar to Cremona and Boldini for the softness of the mixture, and of Giuseppe Palanti, as well as a painter also a set designer, publicist and costume designer dedicated to the applied arts . The rich differentiation of doctrine was followed by the desire to participate in the major exhibitions of the time: in 1924 the artist attended the Monza Portrait Exhibition, which he followed with the Fighters Exhibition. In 1930 he was on the benches of the Milanese Permanente; he also exhibited his art subsequently, at the Mostra dei Navigli and the Exhibition of the Society for Fine Arts and Permanent Exhibition of Milan (1938) with the painting Garden in Spring. The events of the Milanese Artistic Family kept the artist busy until July 1944, when Pessina had the opportunity to organize his first solo show at the Ranzini gallery in Milan.
The artist restores airy landscapes of boundless depth, in which the bucolic aspect is surpassed by the crystalline wonder of natural data. The canvas therefore offers itself as a hymn to life and the unexpected revelation of everyday beauty, full of inspiration and dreamlike atmospheres in every smallest detail.

The frame is provided free of charge, therefore it cannot be a reason for return or complaint.

For paintings purchased abroad: after payment the procedure to obtain the export license (ALC) will be started. All antiques sent abroad from Italy require this document, issued by the Minister of Cultural Heritage. The procedure could take 2 to 4 weeks from the request, therefore, as soon as we have the document the painting will be sent.
