A Meissen two-handled beaker and cover, circa 1725-30
Each side finely painted in the style of P.E. Schindler with a chinoiserie scene within a quatrelobe gilt scrollwork cartouche edged with iron-red and purple scrollwork, the gilt, ear-shaped handles flanked by sprigs of indianische Blumen, gilt scrollwork border inside rim, the cover with two similar vignettes enclosed by iron-red circles and a gilt scrollwork border, 10cm high overall, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, gilt numeral 1. to both (minor flaking to rim of cover) (2)
