Condition Report:
In good condition with gentle surface wear and scratching to the gold and platinum mounting. Minor areas of porosity to the gold at soldering points, and evidence of lead solder at the base of two stamen and what may be the remnant of a third, now missing, stamen. Pin catch stamped 14K; mounting tests as 18 karat gold and platinum. The medium-light slightly greenish blue aquamarine weighing approximately 55.00 carats is eye-clean, with minute abrasions seen under 10x magnification. The richly saturated, medium-deep purplish red rubies are moderately to heavily included, some with surface-reaching inclusions seen on close inspection, as is typical of cabochons. The diamonds are approximately G-I color, VS-SI clarity. As seen in the modelling image, the brooch may be positioned at a variety of angles.
