According to Charles Henry Pope's Loring Genealogy (Murray and Emery Company, Cambridge, Massachusetts: 1917), a Jonathan Loring was born in Hull, Massachusetts on November 18, 1744. He married Margaret Davidson (d. 1822) and was a tailor, who resided in Boston. He died in 1800.
