Gold scroll with Aramaic text and original bronze case

A gold scroll with Aramaic text and original bronze case, c. 5th - 9th Century AD, well-preserved rolled scroll with Aramaic text, the images depict the scroll in both its rolled and unrolled states. A very nice example of these scrolls, many of which have been read and found to contain ‘spells’ for apotropaic purposes as well as other various cryptic messages, however, this example has not yet been translated. Scroll is 2 in (5 cm) in length and 1.36g. The bronze scroll case is cylindrical with two suspension loops and flat cap, L: 1 ¾ in (4.5 cm). A rare scroll with original case!
