The beautiful angel sits upon her celestial throne having surveyed an earthly battle. She is captured in the likeness of ancient Roman/Hellenistic representations of winged angels. The exquisite details in her long flowing robe and the feathers on her wings shows the skilled craftsmanship of the artist. We witness as she is about to throw a crown of laurel earth-bound to the successor of a martial victory. She is mounted upon a black marble base.
