Gong Dong is a Chinese artist who graduated from The Art Institute in Fuzhou. Scarred by the loss of his father, but rejoiced by the birth of his two sons, Gong Dong developed as a visual artist with a rich, emotional life. His images seem to be scenes taken from life. Sometimes full of fantasy and humour, sometimes more subdued and contemplative. Gong Dong exhibited at appealing exhibitions in China, Singapore, South Korea, Dubai and the Netherlands. Gong Dong has now taken a place on the international stage of iconic, contemporary sculptors. This beautiful carved sphere is a joy to look at and to have as an object.
