A good pair of George II period English sterling silver salt cellars (trencher salts) Hallmarked with the London city mark, the date letter 'T' for 1734 and the silversmith's hallmark of Edward Wood (registered August 1722) . He was a specialist salts maker. Also engraved with the owners initials 'GR'. Height: 33 mm, width 82 mm. Weight 102. 4 grams. In perfect condition.
