A good 18th century English sterling silver pepper caster. It has a detachable pierced cover (tightly closing) and an S-shaped grip. Hallmarked with the London city mark, the date letter 'M' for 1727 and the silversmith's hallmark of Abel Brokesby (registered August 1727) Engraved with the owners initials 'SS'. Height: 69 mm. Weight 52,5 grams. In perfect condition.
