Gordon P. Ray Cagle Rd. Pottery Vase

Striking studio pottery vase featuring a rounded baluster form with a narrow lower body and dramatically flared dark charcoal rim. The body is finished in a vivid turquoise-blue crackle glaze with areas of coppery iridescence and smoky tonal variation characteristic of raku firing, contrasting beautifully with the matte dark rim and foot. The underside is hand-inscribed “Cagle Rd. Pottery 2000” and signed “P. Ray,” attributed to Gordon P. Ray. Displays light surface wear and minor firing irregularities consistent with handmade studio pottery, with no obvious major damage visible. Measures 9" tall.
