Gorgeous necklace Egyptian faience, glass & stone
A gorgeous necklace comprised of Egyptian faience, glass and stone beads. The beads include well-preserved Late Period faience tube and disc beads, c. 664 - 332 BC, a Roman green glass pendant bead, c. 1st - 3rd Century AD, and some circular carnelian beads from the 1st Millennium BC. L: 23 in (31 cm). Nicely strung with antique brass elements and a lovely wearable necklace! Ex estate of Maria (Lila) Decatur Mayo Deyo Garnett, niece of Ruth Deyo; Ex collection of Ruth Deyo, acquired early-mid 1900's. Mrs. Deyo was a world-renowned musician and personality, well-known for her appreciation of Egyptian culture.
