Gorham Sterling Silver Chalice

Gorham sterling silver chalice has a 6-point scalloped foot with a hexagonal stem and a ellipsoidal knob in the center with bands of standing figures below and above; the bowl has an inverted bell form with acanthus designs coming from the bottom. Presentation engraving on the foot rim reads, "In Memory of Grace Alida Hamm, Fell Asleep. Dec. 29, 1889. Jesu Mercy." Signed on the underside "1744, Sterling" and has Gorham hallmarks. Dimensions: 9.5 in. high x 5 in. diameter. Weight: 1.40 lbs.
