Gorham Sterling Silver Gilt Epergne

In the Rococo style, the base modeled of open-work scrolls, foliage, flowers, and featuring cartouches, extending four foliate-capped arms, each supporting a circular bowl, with gilt interior, the border of repousse cartouches, draping floral garlands, applied scrolling rim, the base supporting a large oval handled centerbowl, with similar repousse decoration of acanthus-bordered cartouches and floral garlands, applied scrolling rim, the centerbowl and smaller bowls with monogram; overall measurements are 9 3/4 in. H, 20 1/2 in. W, 18 in. D, 135.65 ozt.
Condition Report: Base: 4 3/4 in. H, 15 in. W, 12 1/2 in. D, 59.3 ozt. Gorham cartouche mark/sterling/ULA. Surface with very faint scratches from use. Bowls: 3 in. H, 6 1/2 in. Diam., 40 ozt. Sterling/ULA, each with a scratch mark denoting I, II, III, or IIII. Bowls screw into arms, which are also numbered. With wear to gilding and spots of pitting. Centerbowl: 5 1/4 in. H, 15 in. W overall, 10 3/4 in. D, 36.35 ozt. Interior bottom with faint scratches from use and spots of pitting
