An early 19th century double gourd, decorated with scrimshaw work showing a hunter presenting a dead rabbit to a lady with buildings and birds amongst foliage, the top engraved with an eclipse of the sun and two pierced hearts, inscribed ANISCE LE 22 DECEMBRE FT LAN 1829, the base with later label inscribed 'A label originally on this gourd said that it was made on Devils Island', 17cm high
