Circa 1961 Gown Worn to John F Kennedy's Presidential Inauguration having center back zip closure. Labeled Frank R Jelleff Inc. Measuring 36 inch bust, 26 inch waist, 60 inches long. General wear as shown throughout consistent with age. This lot includes additional JFK items / provenance. This dress was worn by NYU Professor, Historian and author Patricia Bonomi to President John F Kennedy's inauguration on January 20, 1961. Now at 98 years of age she has decided to part with it. Patricia Bonomi helped to campaign for JFK, please see included signed thank you letter addressed to her and her husband The late attorney John G. Bonomi (1923–1999), who served as counsel to the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and famously sought to disbar Richard Nixon. Included with the gown and thank you letter is a bust of JFK from Patricia's collection.
