The Dogon are a population group from the region of the Bandiagara cliffs east of the Niger River in Mali. Known for their colorful and masked dances and their architecture.

Doors like these were used to close granaries, but also homes.
For the Dogon, everything has a soul and that is also visible here in the beautiful workmanship of the wood. These doors show a relief with the well-known Dogon ancestor figures.

The doors are in good condition with minor signs of wear. The relief has a beautiful patina with a soft shine. The lock and the associated slide are present and intact.
