A large Capodimonte or Buen Retiro tray, circa 1755-60
Decorated in the manner of Caselli with a lady and gentleman in a landscape, buildings behind them, both dressed elegantly in 18th century corseted puce dress, he in breeches and wearing a turban, the lobed tray picked out in puce camaieu in the corners, 28cm diam., fleur de lys in blue enamel to the reverse, incised V.4. in black (rubbing)
