Grande Fine Champagne 1825 is a historic cognac bottled by the wine merchant Eschenauer & Co.
Eschenauer & Co. was founded in 1821 by Louis Eschenauer, a Bordeaux-based wine merchant. The company also sourced cognac, which it would itself age for several decades and bottle under its own name. Unfortunately, the company ran into difficulties during World War II, despite a very prosperous period in the 1870s. Eschenauer & Co. cognacs are always old bottlings, as they are no longer produced today.

**The images in each lot are the actual images of the object and are therefore part of the cataloging. Thus, the buyer accepts that the condition of the wines is shown in the images and/or in the cataloging, and that the content and fragility of the cork and the seal are not the responsibility of Setdart Auctions.
