A monumental Qajar silver-damascened steel axe (sar-e tabar), Persia, 19th Century
with double crescentic steel blades engraved and decorated with borders of inscriptions and central lobed vegetal interlace filled cartouches, the central shaft surmounted by a pierced finial decorated in silver overlay and surmounted by a trefoil motif
