Out of the frame the sheet is a wove paper with a Rives watermark. It looks to have deckled edges on all sides but the back mat is adhered to the facing mat, and at least some of the lower and left margins are also glued to the facing mat. There is a tear to the left margin which cannot be safely viewed or measured without risk of further damage, but is at least 2 1/2 inches long. It effects only the margin. The sheet measures about 12 x 15 7/8 in. The frame is 14 1/2 x 17 x 1/2 in.
