George III bronze "Army Re-Enters Hanover" Medal 1814 MS65 Brown NGC, BHM-777, Eimer-1058, Bramsen-1489. 41mm. By T. Webb and J.J. Barre for Mudie. Obv. Bust facing slightly left, in military attire. Rev. Britannia seated right, feeding two Hanoverian horses standing left. Prince Adolphus, Duke of Cambridge, was the tenth child of George III and Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. This spectacular specimen displays a laser-sharp strike and reveals an element of violet in the pristine fields. A noticeable planchet crack adds an interesting dimension but does not detract from the overall eye appeal. Best of three at NGC.
