George IV gold Proof "Extra Tuft" 1/2 Sovereign 1826 PR63 PCGS, KM700, S-3804A, Marsh-407C (S). A flashy piece with only light wisps to obverse fields giving testimony of past contact, while the reverse is quite pleasing with nearly a jet-black canvas to the frosted shield. While the exact mintage is not known, Marsh suggests it to be around 400 pieces only, however many must have been lost or impaired since their issuance almost 200 years ago.
