Francis Hawley's soldiers, in the late Duke of Monmouth's regiment"; 1680 order to pay Sir Leoline Jenkins £2,000; 1696 letter from the "Whitehall Treasury Chamber" "The Justices of the Peace of the County of Westmorland" on account of the neglected collection of " the duties ariseing by Marriages Births Burialls &c.", signed also by Sir Stephen Fox, John Smith and Thomas Littleton; 1709 warrant to take in loans to a total of £12,355 to pay interest at 6% already due, with itemised list of money due showing a total loan of £822,382; 1709 printed order for the repayment of loans with many additional instructions added.
