Magna Graecia, southern Italy, Campania, ca. 4th century BCE. A lovely pottery kantharos presenting a bulbous body, corseted neck, and flared rim, all sitting upon a discoid foot and flanked by twin, ribbon-form handles. Note the silvery iridescence glistening off the deep black glaze of this stunning example! Size: 5" in diameter x 3.25" H (12.7 cm x 8.3 cm)
