Asia Minor, Cilicia, Tarsus, ca. 384 to 361 BCE. A pair of Datames silver stater coins, one at 11.2 grams, and the other 9.4 grams with darker toning. The obverse of both: Arethusa facing slightly left. Reverse: Helmeted and bearded head of Ares right. Compare to SNG France 269, SNG Levante 79. Size of light toned: 0.91" Diameter (2.3 cm); silver quality: 98.16%; weight: 11.2 grams; darker toned: 0.85" Diameter (2.2 cm); silver quality 98.34%; weight 9.4 grams

Provenance: private New York, New York, USA collection, acquired 1990s
