Greek Geometric Ceramic Vase

9th-7th century BC. A terracotta vessel with squat globular body, waisted neck, everted rim and convex base, painted bands around the base of the neck and two groups of concentric ovals to opposite sides of the body. 380 grams, 12.3cm (5"). Property of an Essex gentleman; acquired on the UK art market; previously from an old English collection formed in the 1980s. [No Reserve]
