Greek Mycenaean Pottery Skyphos w/ Spiral Motifs

Ancient Greek, Aegean, Mycenaean culture, Late Helladic III, ca. 13th century BCE. A lovely pottery skyphos presenting a flared rim, a bowl-form body, and a rounded base, all sitting upon a discoid foot. A pair of tubular, upward-curving handles flank the ancient vessel, while black-on-cream decoration of spiraling and striated motifs adorns the exterior. Size: 5.7" Diameter x 3.6" H (14.5 cm x 9.1 cm)

Provenance: private New York, New York, USA collection; ex-Daryl Kulok collection, New York, USA, acquired in the 2000s

Condition Report: Repaired from a few large pieces with restoration over some break lines and others visible in areas. Restoration to 1 handle and rim. A few minor chips to base, as well as expected nicks and abrasions, commensurate with age. Otherwise, excellent with nice remaining pigments.
