A bronze strainer comprising a shallow bowl with lipped rim, central strainer holes arranged in starburst pattern; ledge handle with lateral scrolls and curved finial. 114 grams, 14.6cm (5 3/4"). Property of a European professional; acquired by gift from his patient, archaeology professor Witold Dobrowolski (1939-2019) in the 1990s; Professor Dobrowolski was a lecturer at the Institute of Archaeology in Warsaw, and a long-time curator of the ancient art collections of The National Museum of Poland.
